Starter ideas, free for anyone to build
Family-run guesthouses in places like Hunza, Bali or the Atlas Mountains take bookings over WhatsApp, Instagram DMs and phone calls. Double bookings are common, deposits get lost in chat threads, and owners pay 15–20% commission to big booking sites just to be found.
GuestHouse OS is a simple phone-first system: a booking page the owner can share anywhere, a shared calendar that syncs with Booking.com and Airbnb, and deposits collected through local payment methods (JazzCash, GCash, M-Pesa, cards).
Revenue: a flat monthly fee per property (about $15) plus an optional small fee on online deposits. No commission on direct bookings.
Looking for a mobile developer who has worked with calendar sync (iCal) and payments, and someone with hospitality sales experience in South or Southeast Asia.
