The problem
Getting a small home job done means calling several tradespeople, waiting for quotes and worrying about surprise costs.
The solution
A catalogue of common jobs (fix a leaking tap, mount a TV) with fixed prices, vetted local tradespeople and instant booking. Bigger jobs get a video call quote.
Target customers
Homeowners and renters in UK and Irish cities, then US metro areas.
Business model
15% commission on each job; subscription for tradespeople to get priority listings.
Competition and why this idea
Directories make you call around for quotes. Fixed prices for common jobs remove the haggling.
