Urban rooftop and balcony gardens are popular in Karachi, Lahore and Cairo, but plants die when owners travel or forget to water in 45°C heat.
A low-cost drip-irrigation kit with a soil-moisture sensor and a small controller that waters only when needed. It runs from a water bottle or tank, works offline, and an app shows when the reservoir needs refilling.
Revenue: hardware kit at about $40, sold online and through nurseries; replacement parts and seed packs as add-ons.
Looking for an embedded developer (ESP32) and someone who knows agriculture or plant care to tune watering for local crops.
This is a starter idea from the UnbuiltHub team. Nobody owns it: if you'd like to build it, share your own version and find your team here.
