Rent-a-tool library for apartment buildings
Residents borrow drills, ladders and party gear from a smart locker in the lobby instead of buying them.

Starter ideas, free for anyone to build
Most people use a drill for about 13 minutes in its whole life, yet every household in an apartment block owns one. The same goes for ladders, carpet cleaners, pressure washers and camping gear.
A smart locker in the building lobby stocked with shared tools. Residents unlock a compartment with the app, pay a few euros per day, and return it to the same locker. Building managers get it as an amenity for residents.
Revenue: rental fees shared with the building, plus a monthly amenity fee for larger residential buildings and co-living operators.
Looking for a developer for the locker app (Bluetooth locks) and someone who knows property management companies in Germany.
This is a starter idea from the UnbuiltHub team. Nobody owns it: if you'd like to build it, share your own version and find your team here.
